The concert will showcase a diverse selection of dance pieces, ranging from the operatic richness and stylized waltzes of Richard Strauss's Der Rosenkavalier Suite to the vibrant rhythms of Alexander Borodin's Polovtsian Dances No. 17 from his opera Prince Igor, as well as the colorful Huapango by Jose Pablo Moncayo. Leading the orchestra in Antonin Dvořák's lively Slavonic Dances No. 1 will be Kate Nayeon Jeon, winner PYSO’s 2023-24 Conducting Competition. The concert will also feature PYSO harpist Sophia Jho, winner of PYSO's 2023-24 Concerto Competition, with a performance of Maurice Ravel's enchanting Introduction and Allegro.
